THANK YOU
FOR READING
THE BLUE MOUNTAIN EAGLE
As another year winds down, we would like to thank our readers who keep this newspaper going week after week.
Without your support, we would not be able to tell the stories of our community.
Because of readers like you, we chronicled hundreds of meetings and events over the last year — from missing
persons to sports champions, from elections to local TV filming, from the suicide epidemic to a pending state record
bighorn sheep.
We have also written countless stories about the most important part of our little county: the people. So many give
back so much to make Grant County such a great place to live. And such great people to write about makes it much
easier to put out a quality newspaper!
Each week, we strive to bring you the news you need. We work hard and truly care about what we do. As a testament
to our small-town work ethic, the Eagle brought home the most prestigious award at this year’s state newspaper
convention: the Elmo Smith Award of General Excellence among weekly newspapers of similar size. With seven
first-place awards and 21 overall in various categories, the Eagle earned more top awards than any other weekly
newspaper in the state.
And we continue to reach for more. With the recent launch of a new circulation system and our new website, we are
even better prepared to deliver the news to you in the year to come. If you haven’t seen the new site, check it out at
myeaglenews.com. It’s worth a visit.
From our Eagle family to yours, we hope you had a merry Christmas, and we wish you a happy new year.
And we hope you’ll keep reading the Eagle.
