The Dayville Community Hall was built in 1920. Throughout the past 98 years, this great building has served as a
school gymnasium, dance hall, roller skating rink, movie theater, box factory during World War II, meeting hall and
home for the South Fork Theater Group. This beloved building has provided a meeting area for traveling shows,
weddings, receptions, parties, memorial services, school functions and community gatherings.
The Dayville Community Hall Renovation Committee has spent many years holding fundraisers in hopes of renovating
this building that is very near and dear to so many hearts. With these fundraising dollars, as well as some very
generous donations, it is hoped that some much-needed renovations will be taking place in the near future.
The Community Hall has served the Dayville area well throughout the past 98 years. Many fond memories have been
made within those walls, and the community bonds have been strengthened by those memories. It is the vision and
mission of the Dayville Community Hall Renovation Committee to keep the spirit of our cherished old hall alive and
thriving. We strive to do this so that those of future generations can also come to love this building as we do.
