NOTICE TO TENANTS OF OLD WEST STORAGE UNITS LOCAT-
ED AT 401 W. MAIN STREET, JOHN DAY, OREGON
On February 12, 2018, Old West Federal Credit Union (“Old West”)
foreclosed on the storage facility through a sheriff’s sale conducted
by the Grant County sheriff and pursuant to the judgment entered in
Grant County Circuit Court Case No. 16CV34723.
The 180-day redemption period for the sheriff’s sale expired on Au-
gust 12, 2018. The property was not redeemed. Old West is now
the owner of the storage facility. Old West intends to send notices
of abandoned personal property in accordance with Oregon law for
those storage- unit tenants who do not contact Old West in a timely
manner.
If you have any personal property on the premises, please contact
Blake Ramstead or Matt Goodwin at 541-575-0264 as soon as pos-
sible to enter into a new rental agreement. If Old West does not hear
from you on or before November 10th, 2018, Old West will take steps
to dispose of your personal property.

Grant County Oregon is eligible to apply for a 2018 Community De-
velopment Block Grant from the
Business Oregon. Community Development Block Grant funds come
from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The
grants can be used for public facilities and housing improvements,
primarily for persons with low and moderate incomes.
Approximately $12 million will be awarded to Oregon non-metropoli-
tan cities and counties in
2018. The maximum grant that a city or county can receive is
$2,500,000.
Grant County Oregon is preparing an application for a 2018 Com-
munity Development Block Grant from Business Oregon for Heart
of Grant County’s Meredith House at 115 NW Bridge Street, John
Day Oregon for the final design and construction of a domestic vi-
olence service center. It is estimated that the proposed project will
benefit at least 75 new persons and 100 continuing, persons request-
ing services annually, of whom 95% will be low or moderate income.
A public hearing will be held by the Grant County Court at 9:15 am on
Wednesday, November 7 at the Grant County Court meeting room.
The purpose of this hearing is for the Grant County Court
Commissioners to obtain citizen views and to respond to questions
and comments about: community development and housing needs,
especially the needs of low- and moderate-income persons, as well
as other needs in the community that might be assisted with a Com-
munity
Development Block Grant project; and the proposed project.
Written comments are also welcome and must be received by No-
vember 6, 2019 by 4:00 pm at the
Grant County Courthouse, 201 S Humbolt, Canyon City, OR 97820.
Both oral and written comments will be considered by the Grant
County Court Commissioners in deciding whether to apply.
The location of the hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities.

Permanent involuntary displacement of persons or businesses is not
anticipated as a result from the proposed project. If displacement
becomes necessary, alternatives will be examined to minimize the
displacement and provide required/reasonable benefits to those dis-
placed. Any low and moderate-income housing that is demolished or
converted to another use will be replaced.
