General Job Duties: Perform
a wide variety of secretarial and
administrative duties to support
the County Fair and its activities
which requires considerable
independence and judgment.
Operation of standard office
equipment and word processing
and spreadsheets. Assist staff
with events, perform reception
duties, provide information to
the public, maintain records, re-
ceipt money received, inventory
and order supplies.
Screening Requirements:
High school graduation or
equivalent. Must possess a
valid Oregon Driver’s License,
or the ability to obtain trans-
portation. Must be insurable
under the county’s liability
coverage. Thorough knowledge
of recordkeeping systems,
business office etiquette, and
general office practices and
procedures. General knowl-
edge of operations, policies,
terminology and governing laws
of the County Fair, or the ability
to rapidly acquire such knowl-
edge. Must be able to work
flexible hours based on events
at the Fairgrounds and RV Park.
Some nights and weekends are
required for this position.
Hours & Days: Seasonal Posi-
tion - 40 hours per week – June,
July and August.
Salary/Benefits: $16.10 per
hour with no benefits

Job Duties: Perform work in
the care and custody of inmates
in the Grant County Criminal
Justice Facility. Process indi-
viduals in and out of the facility,
provide meal service and
dispense medicine to inmates,
recordkeeping, housekeeping,
and other daily operations in
and around the facility. May be
required to deal with violent
and combative individuals that
would require considerable
physical effort.
Screening Requirements:
21 years of age or older for
legal qualification. High school
graduation or equivalency.
Some knowledge of policies,
procedures and techniques
relating to the custody, care
and transportation of prisoners,
and the applicable laws and
regulations. Possess or ability
to obtain a valid Oregon Driver’s
license and be able to meet
county’s driving standards.
