following positions to perform a diverse array of natural resource
projects, from watershed restoration work to wilderness trail
construction and maintenance.
• Veteran Wilderness Trail Crew Member (Ukiah, OR) – NEW!
This position is open to individuals who served in the US Armed Forces
and have a DD214 with an honorable discharge to perform backcountry
trail work on the North Fork John Day Wilderness.
• Technical Young Adult Trail Crew Leader (Prairie City, OR)
This positon will supervise a trail crew of four young adults performing
trail work in the backcountry of the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness and
parts of the Malheur National Forest.
• Technical Young Adult Trail Crew Member (Prairie City, OR)
This positon will work on a trail crew with other young adults (ages 18-
24) performing trail work in the backcountry of the Strawberry Mountain
Wilderness and parts of the Malheur National Forest.
• Youth Crew Member (John Day, OR)
