Registration open for Youth Arts Program spring classes Blue Mountain Eagle Registration is now open for the Youth Arts Program’s spring classes. Offerings include three choirs, for ages 4-8, 9-12, and 12-adult; two guitar classes; and a string ensemble (violin, viola, cello and string bass). All ensembles meet on Tues- day afternoons at Humbolt Elementary School, and rehearsals begin on Feb. 6. There will be no rehearsal during spring break. There is a mandatory dress rehears- al on Thursday, May 3. The concert will be at 7 p.m. Friday, May 4. Before Feb. 1, the membership fee is $60 per child or $100 per family. After Feb. 1, it costs $75 per child or $120 per family. Some scholarships are available. There is no charge for people over 18. For more information and registration forms, call 541-987-2440. The Youth Arts Program is sponsored by the Juniper Arts Council. Its mission is to provide quality arts instruction in Grant County. Frazier, Teague named to George Fox dean’s list Blue Mountain Eagle Ginni Frazier and Malachi Teague earned dean’s list recognition at George Fox University for the fall 2017 semester. Traditional undergraduate students must earn a 3.5 grade point average or above on 12 or more hours of graded work to earn a spot on the dean’s list.
