Grant Soil and Water Conservation District is accepting sealed bids
for two 2013 Honda Rancher TRX 420 four wheel drive all-terrain
vehicles with 24 gallon herbicide application sprayers, and a 2000
Chevy 3500 with a 500 gallon tank, and misc. farm equipment. “The
minimum bid limits are $3,000 (Three Thousand Dollars) per
unit for the Honda Ranchers and $3,000 (Three Thousand Dol-
lars) for the 2000 Chevy.” Bid packets and information regarding
the miscellaneous farm equipment can be found at www.grantswcd.
net or picked up at the below address. Bids must be submitted in a
sealed envelope plainly marked with the following information:

Notice of Receipt of Ballot Title
Grant County
In accordance with ORS 250.175, notice is hereby given on January
22, 2018 the County Elections Officer received the following Ballot
Title for a prospective initiative. The prospective initiative petition
was determined to comply with the Constitutional requirements.
In accordance with ORS 250.168(4) an elector dissatisfied with
the determination may file a petition for review in the Grant County
Circuit Court no later than 5pm, January 31, 2018 (seven business
days).
Ballot Title Caption: ALLOWS CANNABIS BUSINESSES IN GRANT
COUNTY PURSUANT TO OREGON LAW.
Question: Repeals Grant County Ordinance 2015-01. All cannabis
industry businesses operating pursuant to Oregon law, would be al-
lowed in Grant County.

Summary: This measure would repeal Grant County Ordinance
2015-01. Upon repeal, all lawful cannabis industry businesses,
pursuant to existing Oregon law, would be allowed in Grant County,
including, but not limited to Oregon Liquor Control Commission li-
censed producers, processors, dispensaries, wholesalers, labs and
research, as well as Oregon Health Authority licensed producers,
processors and labs. Grant County would receive state tax rev-
enues for these activities. Upon passage of this measure, Grant
County would be required to notify the Oregon Liquor Control Com-
mission and Oregon Health Authority. Grant County would immedi-
ately begin issuing business licenses to those businesses operating
pursuant to ORS 475B (Oregon Laws 2015, Chapter 614).
The effective date of the measure would be 30 days after the day
on which it is enacted or approved by the majority of the votes cast
thereon.

CITY OF PRAIRIE CITY
2018 WASTEWATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the 2018 Wastewater Improve-
ment Project will be received by City of Prairie City, at the office
of the City Hall, 133 S Bridge Street, Prairie City, Oregon, until
2:00 pm local time on March 7th, 2018, at which time the Bids re-
ceived will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of
constructing replacement sections of the wastewater forcemain,
replacement of sections of the wastewater collection system,
and spot repairs of service tees and manholes. Pumps and con-
trols at both the Booster and Main wastewater lift stations will
be replaced. The work will also include replacement of the road
surface, gravel shoulders and traffic control.
Separate Bids will be received for Contract No. 1 – General Con-
struction and Contract No. 2 – Pumps and Controls; Optional addi-
tional bid items indicated in the Bid Forms.

Grant Weed Control will be applying herbicides on Grant County
Road Right-of-Ways for the purpose of controlling noxious weeds.
This is a reminder to adjacent landowners concerned about herbi-
cide applications that it is your responsibility to initiate a “NO SPRAY”
