PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
In Accordance with OAR 695-045-0185 and ORS 271.735. OWEB
Land Acquisition Grant Program, concerning approximately 6,785
acres in the vicinity of Mitchell,
City of John Day
A meeting of the John Day City Council will be held on January
9, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. 316 S Canyon Blvd, John Day, Oregon. The
purpose of this meeting is to discuss the supplemental budget for
the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2017. A summary of the budget is
presented below. A copy of the supplemental budget document can
be obtained after January 1, 2018.

PROPOSED 2017-2018 SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET SUMMARY
Grant Application No. 218-9906-15909. The Oregon Watershed En-
hancement Board (OWEB) is a state agency that provides grants to
help Oregonians take care of local streams, rivers, wetlands, and
natural areas.
OWEB is considering a grant of funds to Blue Mountain Land Trust
for the purpose of purchasing certain property rights on approximate-
ly 6,785 acres in the vicinity of Mitchell, in Wheeler County, under
Grant Application No. 218-9906-15909. OWEB will hold a conserva-
tion easement or third party rights of enforcement in a conservation
easement, if the property rights are purchased with OWEB funds.
OWEB will hold a public hearing for the purpose of providing interest-
ed parties with a meaningful opportunity to comment on the OWEB
grant application. Questions or comments about the grant applica-
tion, or public hearing, are to be directed to the OWEB representa-
tive identified below.
Requests for special accommodations in order to participate in the
public hearing must be made at least seven (7) days prior to the
hearing. Written comments concerning the grant application must be
received by OWEB on or before January 10, 2018.
