Our mission is to place pets in safe, happy forever
homes, and to educate pet owners about the importance
of spay/neuter to prevent pet overpopulation.
Our Vision: Pets living in safe homes with owners
who nurture and fulfill their needs – furever!
We are an all-volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to helping pets
in Grant County, which has no animal shelter or animal control agency.
We welcome volunteers!
Can you take in a foster dog or cat?
Help with fundraisers? Transport
foster pets to new homes or
adoption agencies out of county?
Staff an information booth at
community events? There are lots
of ways to help Hope4Paws help
dogs and cats. Call 541-575-0500
to leave your information.
Our generous donors make it
possible to do rescue work. Monetary
donations pay for veterinary care,
food and supplies for the animals we
help. There are donation cans in local
businesses, or send a check to
Hope4Paws: Grant County, PO Box
912, John Day OR 97845.
Our volunteers:
• Rescue and foster stray and abandoned dogs and cats, ensuring they get veterinary
care and assessment for adoption.
• Partner with local veterinarians to save adoptable pets that face euthanasia because
their owners can no longer care for them.
• Transport adoptable pets to partner agencies in other areas where larger population
means a better chance of successful adoption into forever homes.
• Promote spay and neuter of pets through discount vouchers that pet owners can
redeem at our local veterinary clinics.
• Conduct trap-neuter-return to control feral cat colonies, and offer food assistance
through our Community Cats program.
FUNDRAISING EVENTS:
Spay-ghetti Dinner, Concession stand at 7th Street
Complex, summer yard sale, Tree of Hope at
Pioneer Feed, and our new booth at Dark Horse
Consignments. Watch for a chance to get your
pet’s photo with Santa Paws in December!
