Grant Union senior Cody
Jo Madden is making her
senior project a memorable
one.
Madden held an event
called McKalee’s Halloween
Fun Run/Walk on Oct. 28 in
honor of her younger sib-
ling, a premature baby who
passed away May 28, 2003.
Three of McKalee’s sib-
lings helped with the event,
including Cody Jo, Shaine
and Brogan.
More than 20 participants
ran or walked the route from
Canyon City’s park to the
John Day City Park and back
while helping Madden raise
over $600.
Madden is still raising
money, with all proceeds go-
ing to the March of Dimes
Foundation, through T-shirt
sales and a can drive.
The McKalee shirts are
$20 each. For more infor-
mation call Tammy at 541-
620-4041 or Tim at 541-620-
