Job Summary: Take direction
from the Economic Devel-
opment Director to promote,
support and expand business
and community and economic
development in Grant County.
Provide technical assistance to
customers and potential small
business owners and communi-
ty organizations. Must commu-
nicate effectively orally and in
writing, establish and maintain
records, reports and statistical
data. Meet and deal effectively
with diverse groups, community
partners, board members and
public.
Education & Experience: High
school graduation or equivalent,
supplemented by college level
courses in business opera-
tions curriculum or three year’s
responsible community or eco-
nomic development experience
or any satisfactory combination
of education, experience and
training which demonstrates the
knowledge, skill, and ability to
perform the above described
duties. Bachelor’s preferred.
Knowledge & Ability: Prin-
ciples and procedures fiscal
monitoring and planning meth-
ods; governmental budgeting
techniques and procedures;
research techniques and
procedures; standard office
equipment, including computer
systems and software pro-
grams. Public relation tech-
niques and concepts; English
spelling, punctuation, grammar
and composition; and math
skills including statistical calcu-
lations. Valid Oregon Driver’s
License; knowledge of local,
state, and federal laws pertinent
to economic development
and applicable to county and
community needs and objec-
tives; self-starter with ability to
communicate with a variety of
personalities, and meet work
flow demands in a timely and
efficient manner.
Hours & Days: 30 hours per
week, Monday – Friday
Salary: $18.38 per hour – with
county benefits
