QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED plus
successful completion of an approved apprenticeship
program for an electrical lineman and OSHA 1910.269
training. Must possess a valid Class A commercial driver’s
license (CDL) and the ability to obtain an IBEW card before
assignment
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: To effectively perform in this
position a person must be able to take appropriate action
on their own initiative. Accuracy, timeliness, the willingness
to promote customer satisfaction, and the ability to work
well with other employees and the public are necessary to
function in this position. Job requires coordinated physical
activities, usually learned through formal and detailed
training, combined with considerable practice. Job requires
very heavy physical effort equivalent to continuous labor
involving the use of heavy tools, materials, and equipment.
Job may be characterized by very demanding full body
exertion and strenuous lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling,
etc. This position may require travel within all districts to
assist with operational need.
