Queen Jessica Carter
My name is Jessica Carter, and I am the 2017 Grant County Fair and Rodeo Queen, riding a 9-year-old gelding
named S-Wrench. I am a 2017 graduate of Grant Union High School and plan to pursue a degree in Agricultural
Business Management at Oregon State University next year. Since I was very young, I have been involved on our
family ranch near Seneca, Oregon. This lifestyle has taught me an immeasurable amount about agriculture,
horsemanship, responsibility, discipline, and the stewardship of God’s creation. This lifelong education has been
very useful in becoming the representing queen of Grant County’s Fair and Rodeo, and I consider myself very
blessed to be a Grant County ranch kid. I am so thankful for this community for its unending support and
encouragement for programs like this and for the constant generosity to this county’s youth. I hope to see you all
August 9th-12th at the Grant County Fair!
Princess Trinity Hutchison
My name is Trinity Hutchison, and I am the 2017 Grant County
Fair and Rodeo Princess, riding a 7-year-old mare named
Paulina. This following year I will be a junior at Grant
Union High School. After high school I would like to
attend college to become a physical trainer. I have
grown up in a ranch and rodeo community. I have
stayed very involved in extracurricular activities
such as volleyball, basketball, track and field,
rodeo, 4-H, and FFA. While participating in these
events and learning from my community
environment I have learned many life lessons. Those
lessons have all come in very useful while staying
involved in my community and representing the sport
of rodeo. I am very thankful to have grown up in such
an involved and supportive community. I’d like to
encourage you all, and hope to see you at several fun
activities during the Grant County Fair, August 9th-12th.
