Christian radio station KGNR 91.9 FM will be holding a
public meeting at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in
John Day on Saturday, July 8 at 4 PM. This is a general
meeting that will address public issues, and any questions

Reference is made to that certain trust deed made by
Don C Puckett, an unmarried man, as grantor, to Cal
Western Reconveyance Corp., as trustee, in favor of PNC
Mortgage, a division of PNC Bank, National Association,
as beneficiary, dated 01/05/15, recorded 01/20/15, in the
mortgage records of GRANT County, Oregon, as 20150136,
covering the following described real property situated in
said county and state, to wit: Lot 3 and the South Six feet
of Lot 2, all in Block 41 of Prairie City Land Company’s First
Addition to the City of Prairie City, Grant County, Oregon,
according to the plat thereof on file and of record in the
office of the clerk of said county and state in Book “Q” of

trustee have elected to sell the real property to satisfy the
obligations secured by the trust deed and a notice of default

Notice is hereby given that the Grant County Planning
Commission will conduct a Public Hearing on July 13, 2017,
beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Grant County Courthouse,
Basement conference room, 201 S Humbolt, Canyon City,
Oregon on the following Land Use matters:
Public Hearing to address application PAR-17-02,
submitted by Kathryn Mosteit and Judith Wilson to
partition to create two 100 acre parcels and one 160
acre parcel. The property is identified as tax lot 1200,
located at Township 8 South, Range 31 East, Sections
10, 11, 14 and 15, W.M. consisting of 360 acres

Surplus Property Sale
Structure purchase and Removal at 740 Overholt Street,
Prairie City, Oregon 97869
Sealed Bids Due by 3:00 p.m., July 19, 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Prairie City School District,
in Prairie City, Oregon is requesting bids for the purchase
and removal of the structure at 740 Overholt Street, also
known as the “Bates Building.” The District needs only the
land for the other purposes and seeks an interested party to
purchase and move the structure to another site.
The structure is a single-story, 7,620-square-foot building.
The building was previously used for classroom and other
school use. The structure is being sold AS-IS, with no
warranty. The structure is known to have, or probably has,
lead based paint, and asbestos. The sale includes removal
of the structure and the foundation, leaving a clean site upon
completion of removal.
An appointment may be made to view the building between
the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through
Thursday at 740 Overholt Street. Interested bidders may

contract that includes the required elements of a successful
bid for award. A minimum bid of $950 is required.

a letter of commitment to agree to the terms of the draft
contract, current contact information, and the bid amount,
and must be received by the Prairie City School District

the envelope, please reference “Surplus Property Sale -
Structure Purchase and Removal at 740 Overholt Street,
“Bates Building”. Bids received after the closing date and
time will not be opened. Submittal of a bid represents a
commitment to remove the structure, leaving the site clear
and clean. Failure of the successful bidder to complete
contractual performance shall result in forfeiture of the
minimum bid amount, among any other remedies available
by law or equity.
In the event that more than one individual makes an
offer of the identical amount, the winning bids will be
determined by random drawing. If no bids are received,
the District reserves the right to rebid the surplus property
or sell the property to other government agencies or non-
profit organizations. The District may reject any bid not in
compliance with all the bid requirements and may reject any
and all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
All surplus property is offered for sale “as is, with no
guarantee”. The Prairie City School District makes no
warranty expressed or implied as to the condition, quality,
weight, size, or description of the property, or its fitness of
any use or purpose.
