Notice is hereby given that the Grant County Planning
Commission will conduct a Public Hearing on May 11, 2017,
beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Grant County Courthouse, 201
S. Humbolt St, Canyon City, Oregon on the following Land
Use matters:
Public Hearing to address application AR2-17-02,
submitted by Jan Keil to establish a boarding kennel for
dogs. The property is identified as tax lot 200, located
at Township 13 South, Range 28 East, Section 15, W.M.
consisting of 10.36 acres located in the Exclusive Farm
Use Zone.
Persons or parties interested or concerned with this subject
matter may appear in person before the Grant County
Planning Commission on May 11, 2017, beginning at 5:00

application(s) under Chapter 5-4.2 Land Use Review and
Site Design Review of the John Day City Code.
Grant School District #3 – Conditional Use Application
Grant School District #3 is the owner of the property located
at 13S31E23 Tax Lot 1100 in John Day, OR (eastern portion
of 7th Street Complex). The owner wishes to place a
recreational bike park on the northern seven acres of the
property. The District is requesting a Conditional Use Permit
to allow the Grant County Economic Council (GCEC) to build
and maintain the park. The property is zoned Residential
General (RG).
A public hearing will take place on Thursday, May 4th
at 6:00 p.m. in the John Day Fire Hall, 316 S. Canyon
Boulevard, John Day, OR. Copy of the subject application(s),
all documents, and evidence relied upon by the applicant(s)
and applicable criteria are available for inspection at the
John Day City Hall at no cost; copies will be provided upon
request at a reasonable cost. Copies of the City Planning
Staff Report on the subject application will be available
for inspection not less than seven (7) days prior to said
hearing at no cost; copies will be provided upon request at a
reasonable cost.
Persons or parties interested in or concerned about the
subject application may appear in person at said hearing,
or may submit written testimony to City Hall on or before
the date of the hearing. Failure to raise an issue in person,
or by letter at the hearing, or failure to provide statements
or evidence sufficient to afford the decision-maker an
opportunity to respond to the issue, means that an appeal
