organizational skills
to work in City
Hall as City Clerk /
Planning Secretary
/ Payroll Clerk for
approximately
35 hours a week.
Candidates
should be fluent
in accounting
and public
administration, a
degree is preferred
but not necessary
to apply. Duties
include but
are not limited
to addressing
telephone and
walk-in requests
from customers
seeking information,
submitting
applications for
service and/
or paying bills.
Receives, records,
and processes
requests for
meter readings,
utility connects,
disconnects
and transfers for
residential and
commercial utility
accounts. Issuing
city permits
and licenses.
Maintaining City
records, contracts
and other important
documents. Pays
employees by
calculating pay and
deductions; issuing
checks. Maintains
payroll information
by collecting,
calculating, and
entering data. The
maintenance and
timely reporting of
state and federal
payroll reports.
Applicant must be
able to multi task
and be productive
in a busy office
environment.
Knowledge of and
experience with
bookkeeping,
payroll and
accounting
practices required.
Must have
knowledge of and
experience with
office practices
procedures and
methods, with
experience in
standard office
equipment and
computer software
programs such
as the Windows
environment,
Microsoft Office
and Excel. Required
training and
experience includes
high school degree,
and three years
of progressively
responsible
experience and
training which
demonstrates the
ability to perform
the above duties
and responsibilities.
Hourly $13.50-
$15.00 depending
on experience and
qualifications, full
benefits included.
