Transportation Fund (STF) Advisory Committee will hold

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the Grant County
Transportation District will hold a meeting to discuss a route
change on the Bend Run. Specifically removing the Lava
Lanes stop. Reasoning: no other bus services stop there
and Greyhound now stops at the Hawthorne Street Station.
Public Comment will be taken and the discussion will occur
during the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on Thursday
December 8, 2016 @ 1:45pm at The People Mover Bus

Public Notice
Notice: The John Day Police Department seized firearms
between 2001 and 2016. These firearms remain in evidence.
The Department has received an evidence disposition order
from the Grant County District Attorney stating that if not
claimed by someone with a valid ownership interest AND
who can lawfully possess firearms, the firearms are to be
destroyed. Any person believing that they have an interest
in a firearm in evidence with the Department may contact
Sgt. Damon Rand at the John Day Police Department or
call 541-575-0030 to identify the firearm and make a claim
for its return. Any firearm being returned will be through a
Federal Firearms License holder to be designated by the
Department. Any transfer of the firearm will be subject to
all applicable laws. The person receiving the firearm will be
responsible for, and pay in advance, any fees associated
with the transfer, even if the transfer is subsequently not
allowed. Claims will be received until 12-11-16 at 5:00pm.
Any remaining firearms will be destroyed thereafter.
