The County of Grant County, Oregon is seeking propos-
als from qualiied consultants to assist the County in the
development and approval by FEMA of a Natural Hazards
Mitigation Plan for the Town of Canyon City located in Grant
County, Oregon.
This project is being funded through a technical assistance
grant from the Oregon Department of Land Conservation
and Development.

Bridge Creek Prescribed Fire Project
30-Day Scoping Period
The Prairie City Ranger District of the Malheur National For-
est would like to invite the public to participate in planning
for the Bridge Creek Prescribed Fire Project. We are asking
for public scoping comments on the proposed action. The
Malheur National Forest is proposing to prescribe burn
approximately 17,100 acres within the Bridge Creek wa-
tershed. These actions are proposed within the Prairie City
Ranger District portion of the Clear Creek, Dry Fork, and
Wiwaanaytt Creek subwatersheds. A copy of the public
scoping letter, including a description of the proposed action
and applicable maps, can be accessed on the Forest Ser-
vice website at: http://www.fs.usda.gov/projects/malheur/
landmanagement/projects. A paper copy of the document or
additional project information can be obtained by contacting
