Blue Mountain Eagle
ROUNDUP
Continued from Page B1
Panther/Bull head coach
Darrel McKrola said their fi rst-
half loss to Echo could be at-
tributed to poor execution.
“Then we started to play
football against Cove,” he said.
“We started to execute the plays
a little better and had a little
more success against Cove.”
The successful plays resulted
in touchdowns for the Panther/
Bulls.
“Our offense performed a lot
better,” he said. “Our defense
did well, stopping their team,
and the boys started having a
little more fun.”
In the game against Echo,
Nathan Maloy scored the sole
touchdown for Prairie City/
Burnt River.
Against Cove, Matt Siddo-
way scored one and Tyler Bel-
veal scored two rushing touch-
downs for the Panther/Bulls.
“Brogan McKrola and Wyatt
Williams combined for most of
the offense on the day,” McKro-
la said. “Wyatt, Matt and Tyler
combined for most of our defen-
sive stops.”
The team now prepares to
host the Monument/Dayville
Tigers at 1 p.m. Friday in Unity.
McKrola said the team will
work on sharpening their block-
ing and pass patterns, and “not
hesitate to hit.”
Prairie City volleyball
Prairie City’s volleyball team
faced a tough Joseph team at
Saturday’s Interleague Jambo-
ree in North Powder, taking a
0-2 loss, 8-25 and 14-25.
Panther co-coach Louanne
Zweygardt said it was a chal-
lenging day for the team, but it
gave them “an opportunity to
see and play some good teams.”
“This helped us work on
elements of our game that will
benefi t us when league play be-
gins,” she said.
Prairie City hosted Burns

Grant Union junior varsity at 5

She said they had good pass-
ing and good digs, but the team
needs to work on more consis-
