20,000 cubic yards of surface gravel ¾” minus, 3000
cubic yards 3” minus, 5000 cubic yards of sanding rock
and 5000 cubic yards Chip Aggregate 3/8”-No. 4. The
contractor is responsible for all the labor, equipment, and
materials needed for drilling, blasting, crushing, hauling,
traic control, water hauling, pollution and erosion con-
trol necessary to produce this product.
Work is to commence within 10 days of the date of
the Notice to Proceed and shall be completed within 180
calendar days of said Notice to Proceed, unless exten-
sion is approved.
Contracts will be awarded for each schedule of
work in the proposal. Contracts will be awarded to the
lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all the
requirements of the bid submission, qualiications, referenc-

schedule. Grant County Road Department reserves the

Grant Soil & Water Conservation District is soliciting bids
for two separate irrigation eiciency projects, one located on
Canyon Creek, south of Canyon City, Oregon and one along
the Mainstem John Day River, east of Prairie City, Oregon.
The optional Pre-Bid Tour is scheduled for September
14, 2016. Bid Opening for this work will be at 3:00 pm Octo-
ber 6, 2016.
Those wishing to attend the Bid Tour should meet at
8:30 am on September 14, 2016 at the Grant Soil & Water
Conservation District oice located at 721 South Canyon
Blvd, John Day, Oregon 97845. The tour will irst proceed
to the Larson Irrigation Consolidation Project approx-
imately 7 miles south of Canyon City along Canyon
Creek. The next stop will be at the Upper McHaley Pipe-
line project located approximately 1 mile east of Prairie
City. The approximate arrival time for this project tour is
10:00 am.
Bidders must provide their own transportation. Bid
documents may be obtained from the Grant Soil and Wa-
ter Conservation District oice in hard copy form at any
time, or in digital form by contacting a District represen-
tative at (541) 575-0135 or emailing levivoigt@ortelco.net.
Award of construction contracts will be subject to the
receipt of project funding, permits and approvals. All work
must be performed in accordance with said permits and
applicable regulations.
A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECTS ARE AS
FOLLOWS:
The Larson Irrigation Consolidation projects will be broken
into two separate phases. The work will be as follows:
Phase 1 (October 15, 2016 to December 31, 2016)
• Installing 4300 feet of 6” PVC Pipe
• Installing 4700 feet of 4” PVC Pipe
• Installing 360 feet of 8” PVC Pipe
• Installing 3000 feet of 1-1/4” ADS Pipe
Phase 2 (July 15, 2017 to August 31, 2017)
• Installing a hardened pump hole in Berry Creek
• Installing a hardened pump hole in Canyon Creek
Phase 1 of the project will occur between October 15,
2016 and December 31, 2016. Phase 2 of the work will oc-
cur during the 2017 instream work window which is July 15,
2017 to August 31, 2017 for this reach of Canyon Creek and
Berry Creek.
The Upper McHaley Pipeline project includes the instal-
lation of the following components
Eligible bidders must provide contact information
and be on the Bidders List. All proposals shall be made on
proposal forms, accompanied by completed Bidder’s Certii-
cation Statements, Drug Testing Program Certiication Form,
Insurance Requirements Form, Proposal Form, Bid Bond
(10%), and First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form (within
two hours of bid closing). Once awarded a one hundred
percent (100%) performance bond and one hundred percent
(100%) payment bond will be required to guarantee the
faithful performance of the contract.
• Installing approximately 3600’ of 24” ADS N-12 pipe
• Installing 4 total concrete boxes including one inlet box,
two outlet boxes, and a concrete vault and associated con-
duit for measurement device installation (by others).
• Reconnection of an existing spring across the new pipe-
line
• Filling an existing ditch using pipeline spoils and hauling
from a borrow pit to inish grading
• Installing 15 pipe taps with irrigation risers inished with
alfalfa valves
