4-H Livestock Project Rules section with the following
exceptions:
1. Junior high FFA members in the summer follow-
ing their 7th and 8th grade year, who are active FFA
members in good standing with local, state and na-
tional dues paid, as well as enrolled in an agricultural
education program with an advisor approved SAE
program, may exhibit.
2. It shall be entirely up to the exhibitor to show or
arrange for his animal to be shown in the proper class.
See your FFA Advisor with questions.
3. Any question arising and not governed by the ex-
hibitor handbook shall be governed by the FFA
Advisor and Superintendents.
4. Entry blanks for all exhibits shall be submitted
BEFORE Friday July 17, 2015 to the Agricultural
Instructor. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

hours of a showmanship class. A showman should if
possible avoid using a calming aid. In the event that
the showman deems it necessary to use a calming
agent outside the 12 hour restricted time period, they
must clear its use with all FFA advisors, notify the
County Extension Agent, and make the holder of the
animal health record aware of its use, so it can be
added to the “treatments” category.
8. All animals not manageable at the Fair will not be
acceptable as entries and must be removed from the
grounds. The decision shall be the option of the Fair
superintendent and shall be final.
9. All FFA animals must be "stalled" in their as-
signed sections. Any animals not in their assigned
area will be disqualified.
10. All beef must be broke to halter and must be
double tied with separate ropes (neck ropes and halter
rope). All bulls must be broke to nose leads and will
be required to have nose leads in place when being
shown and/or lead on grounds.
11. All FFA exhibitors MUST submit an up-to-date
project record book to verify the exhibit as part of their
SAE program. Any project challenged and not sub-
stantiated by up-to-date records prior to premium
payment will forfeit premium.
12. FFA members wishing to participate in the live-
stock auction must follow Sale Committee Rules.
13. Chapters may exhibit as individuals if exhibit is
owned by Chapter.
14. Any exhibited animals may be used in the
Judging Contest at the discretion of the respective
Superintendent or exhibitor will be removed from the
show.

year may not be exhibited in the FFA division by an
FFA member.

undesirable conduct may be penalized by forfeiture of
all premiums earned at the discretion of the FFA man-
agement.

placement by the district superintendent. Officially
designated replacements must be listed at the FFA
office. Members not so accompanied will not be al-
lowed to show.

hibitors: white shirt/blouse, official FFA tie/scarf and
official FFA jacket zipped to the top (unless specifically
directed by the show ring judge tor emove jackets).

or boots. (Official dress must be worn at the awards
presentation, during the market animal auction, and
while exhibiting a project registered in any of the FFA
divisions).
19. All FFA members selling market animals at the
market stock sale will submit a handwritten, buyer's
thank you letter on official FFA stationery or stationery
approved by their respective FFA advisor. These letters
will be turned in to their respective FFA advisor prior to
their checking out on Sunday afternoon of fair.
Individual's market sale checks will not be awarded
until buyer thank you letters are received by the chap-
ter advisor.
FFA SHOWMAN'S CREED
As a showman, I believe in being honest and not
taking unfair advantage of my fellow FFA members: I
am proud to be a member of the FFA and subscribe to
its Code of Ethics and I demonstrate good sportsman-
ship at all times.
I believe in the humane treatment of all animals
under my care. I treat them with respect and provide for
their well being at all times. I do not use abusive nor
questionable techniques when showing my animals, or
do I resort to fraudulent, illegal or deceptive practices
when fitting them for show.
I believe that my participation in the FFA Livestock
Program should serve to demonstrate my own ability
and skill as a feeder and fitter. I do my own work and
accept only advice and support from others.
I am proud of the official FFA jacket and do not
allow or participate in activities that serve to discredit it
or the chapter it represents. I am confident in my own
abilities in the show ring and do not need, nor, will I tol-
erate coaching from the sideline. I quickly follow the in-
structions of the officials and do my best to make the
show better for everyone.
I understand that I have an important role in edu-
cating the public about animal agriculture. I take this re-
sponsibility to the FFA and my industry seriously.
