Camp Lick Project
30-Day Scoping Period
The Blue Mountain Ranger District of the Malheur Nation-
al Forest would like to invite the public to participate in
planning for the Camp Lick Project. We are asking for public
scoping comments on the proposed action. The Malheur
National Forest is proposing a suite of activities including
silviculture and fuels treatments, evaluation of the road
systems, recreation opportunities, and riparian and up-
land watershed restoration treatments. The planning area
encompasses approximately 40,000 acres in the Upper
Camp Creek, Lower Camp Creek, and Lick Creek subwa-
tersheds, approximately 10 miles northeast of John Day,
Oregon. A copy of the planning participant letter, including
a description of the proposed action and applicable maps,
can be accessed on the Forest Service website at: http://
www.fs.usda.gov/projects/malheur/landmanagement/proj-
ects. A paper copy of the document or additional project
information can be obtained by contacting Hannah Smith

7:30pm at the Malheur National Forest Supervisor’s Oice /
Blue Mountain Ranger District (Juniper hall), 431 Patterson
