The Blue Mountain Hospital Ambulance provides
standbys for high risk law enforcement calls, Fire
Departments, in addition to providing standbys for
Fair, Rodeos and running events.
We assist at the County Health Fair and our
Community education reaches out to all such as
high school CPR classes and child education on
ambulances and first Aid.
EMS agencies work closely with
other emergency response agencies -
including police, fire and 9-1-1
communications - to provide rapid medical
care and safe transportation to those who
are ill or injured. We are able to provide
Critical Care with our two trained Critical
Care paramedics as well. They also play a
significant role in our nation’s response to
natural and manmade disasters. If you are
involved in a car accident, house fire,
experience a medical emergency, or are
evacuated to an emergency shelter, you will
likely find yourself being cared for by one of
these highly-trained professionals. For
medical conditions, Emergency Medical
Technicians (EMT) and Paramedics can
provide most of the initial and subsequent
treatments that an emergency department
would. For traumatic injuries, we do vehicle
extraction while making sure our primary
responsibility is to immediately perform
interventions that correct life-threatening
conditions and then provide rapid
transportation to the hospital for definitive
care, while managing the patient’s pain.
BMH EMS also provides community
First Aid and CPR education and advanced
classes for our hospital district employees.
