Pam Davis Dean Campbell

POWELL BUTTE — Pam Davis
Dean Campbell, 55, died Dec. 28 at her
home in Powell Butte, with her husband,
Brad, and children, Morgan and Dylan,
by her side. A celebration of life will be
held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at the Elks
Lodge in Prineville.
Mrs. Campbell was born on May
26, 1960, in Burns to William Gale and
Belva Davis. She graduated from Burns
Union High School in 1978. She attend-
ed Mt. Hood Community College. She graduated with an associate
degree and became a respiratory therapist.
After college, she married Mike Dean and raised his daughter
Karma and two children together, Morgan and Dylan. They later
divorced but remained friends.
She worked as a registered respiratory therapist until January
2015. She worked at all the central Oregon hospitals as a respirato-
ry therapist and was the department manager for Pioneer Memorial
Hospital while also operating Ochoco Medical Supply.
In 2001, she joined the Juice Plus Company where she ex-
celled and won a national award in 2003 for promoting children’s
health.
She developed a love for horses at an early age. She rode every
chance she could get and was often seen at many local barrel races.
She was a member of the Catholic Church. She was a people
person and was always there to help a friend in need.
In 2007, she married Brad Campbell, with whom she worked
and traveled for both business and pleasure.
Survivors include her husband, Brad Campbell of Powell
Butte; children, Morgan Dean of Katy, Texas, and Dylan Dean
of Powell Butte; stepdaughters, Kristy (Brian) Sheer of Alfalfa,
Kara (Ty Woolsey) Campbell of Pendleton and Karma (Marco)
Pelcastre of Brooklyn, New York; mother, Belva McCullough of
Prineville; brother, Scott (Tara) Davis of Prineville; sister, Glen-
na Davis of Sumpter; stepbrothers, Dan (Carrie) McCullough of
Bend, Bob McCullough of San Diego, California, Alan (Christine)
McCullough of Eugene and Charlie (Kathy) McCullough of Bend;
stepsister Molly (Evan) Smith of Reno, Nevada; and numerous
stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Gale Davis;
stepfather, Orval McCullough; grandparents, Lyle Brace, Dorothy
Brace, Jonathan Davis and Marquerite Davis; brother, Steven Gale
Davis; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Ruth Ann Burkart-Metz, 67, of Long
Creek, died Jan. 13 at Blue Mountain
Care Center in Prairie City. No services
are planned at this time.
Mrs. Metz was born Oct. 25, 1948,
in Astoria to Henry and Meda Burk-
art. She grew up in Gresham, attended
Gresham Grade School and graduat-
ed from Gresham High School. After
graduation, she worked as a secretary
for Farmers Insurance.
She also enjoyed babysitting. While babysitting for a neigh-
bor, she met his younger brother, Stanley Metz, while he was
home visiting from the U.S. Navy. They married on Nov. 8,
1969. They built a house in Milwaukee where they raised their
three children and worked in his machine shop.
She enjoyed traveling, hunting, camping and was always
fond of the beach.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Stanley Metz;
son, Dennis; daughters, Julie and Shelia; and numerous grand-
children and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John
Burkart.

Peggy Marie Kelly-White
July 5, 1927 — Jan. 13, 2016
Peggy Marie Kelly-White, 88, of John Day, died Jan. 13 at Blue
Mountain Hospital in John Day. Services will be held in the spring
at Aravaipa Creek, Arizona.
Mrs. White was born on July 5, 1927, in Elfrida, Arizona, to
George and Annie “Patterson” Kelly. She worked for Natures Con-
servancy and was orange grove manager for four years.
On Sept. 12, 1942, she married Jeptah White in Florence, Ar-
izona.
She enjoyed her ranch life, cooking, trapping and hunting and
was known to be found in a casino every now and then.
Her af¿ liations included ¿ rst president of the San Pedro 9alley
Sheriffs Posse Auxiliary in San Manuel, Arizona, Church of Christ
and the Arizona Cattle Growers.
Survivors include her sisters, Betty White of Oracle, Arizona;
daughter in-law, Kay James of Payson, Arizona; son, Pepper (Kar-
in White of John Day; brother, Jack Kelly; ¿ ve grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and one
son.

Carrie D. (Stovall) Kenyon, 57, died Jan. 5 in Eugene.
She was born Aug. 23, 1958, in John Day.

Josie Sharp and Clayton Thomas
of Bowman, N.D., announce their en-
gagement and plans to marry.
Sharp, the daughter of Douglas
and Becky Sharp of John Day, is a
2013 graduate of Grant Union Ju-
nior-Senior High School in John Day.
She is currently employed as a pre-
school teacher and is pursuing early
childhood education at Blue Moun-
tain Community College.
Thomas is the son of Andrea Moles of John Day and Ron-
ny Thomas of Mitchell. A 2011 graduate of Grant Union Ju-
nior-Senior High School and a 2013 graduate of Northwest
Renewable Energy Institute, he is working as an apprentice
lineman.
The couple are planning a July 22, 2017, wedding in Jack-
son Hole, Wyoming.
