Enhancement Board (OWEB) is a state agency that provides
grants to help Oregonians take care of local streams, rivers,
wetlands, and natural areas.
OWEB is considering a grant of funds to Blue Mountains
Conservancy for the purpose of purchasing certain property
rights on approximately 6800 acres in the vicinity of Mitch-
ell, in Wheeler County, under Grant Application No. 216-
9902. OWEB will hold a conservation easement, or third
party rights of enforcement in a conservation easement, if
the property rights are purchased with OWEB funds.
OWEB will hold a public hearing for the purpose of providing
interested parties with a meaningful opportunity to comment
on the OWEB grant application. Questions or comments
about the grant application, or public hearing, are to be

Oregon Water Resources Department in support of Grant
County, the City of Canyon City and the City of John Day
has applied for Hazard Mitigation Grant Program funding
from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
to fund the Canyon Creek Watershed Stream Gaging Project
located in the Canyon Creek watershed and includes two
stream gaging sites; 1) Vance Creek on Hwy. 395 and, 2)
Canyon Creek at Bridge No. 12C20 (a double concrete box
culvert), Grant County Road #65. Both selected stream
gaging locations were previously occupied by United States
Geological Survey stream gages. Pursuant to 44 CFR Part
9.12, FEMA gives early notice under Executive Order (EO)
