What I like best about my sport: “I like basketball because it is both a team
and individual sport. You can practice on your own, but you also have to rely
on each other.”
Coach’s Comment: “Amaya has played all four years for me and has always
led with intense defense. She is a great inspiration to all the team whether it’s
on or off the court. She is organizing an American Red Cross Blood drive in
January for her senior project, and I know she will make it a success due to her
enthusiastic attitude she puts forth in everything she approaches. It has been a
great pleasure coaching her and it will be fun to watch her excel in chasing her
dream.”
