OHN DAY — More than 60
dancers brightened the spir-
its of a standing-room only
crowd, performing in
the 19th Annual Holi-
day Showcase at Grant
Union Junior-Senior High
School.
The event, held last Thursday
and Friday, featured the Grant
Union High School dance team,
along with younger dance groups
who train at Body Fitness & Dance.
The program, which is the high
school dance team’s main fund-
raiser of the year, included a va-
riety of styles of dance from
performers ranging in age
from 3-18.
Dance coaches en-
tertained the audience,
performing to “Cool
Yule,” and the Grant Union
team topped off the night with an
energetic performance to “Shake
Santa Shake.”
Shannon Adair who coaches the
high school team and coordinates
the event said about 300 people
attended each performance.
“I was really happy with all the
performances and all the people
who attended,” she said. “It was a
huge success.”

girls basketball team.
The squad of 11 is making

head coach.
“My biggest goal is for the
kids to have fun, work hard and
don’t give up,” he said. “I try
to get them to work as a team
and keep their head up, so if
someone misses a shot, I want
the team to pick them up and
remember the next play is the
most important.”
