Hello Grant County,
Where has this year gone? Seems like just
yesterday that we started 2015.
I am excited to announce that your Chamber
of Commerce is alive and well, not only
financially, but we have a proactive executive
board and a great group of volunteers who
keep the doors open and the office manned
daily.
Our annual installation and volunteer
appreciation event was held at the golf
course with about 80 folks attending. We
honored our members and volunteers and
paid a special tribute to a surprised guest,
Phil Gray, who has been instrumental in
promoting the best interests of Grant County
for over 28 years through his radio station
KJDY. A decision was made to donate the
proceeds from our annual Chamber of
Commerce fundraiser to the fire victims
assistance fund and we are happy to report
that we were able to give $7500. Like so
many of the other fine folks in Grant County
have stated, our hearts and prayers go out to
all of you who were affected by the fire.
See your Grant County Veteran Services
Officer today for more information,
located at Grant County Court House.

We had a Saturday workday at the Chamber
building where we stained and painted the
exterior of the building. Thank you to the
members who showed up to help and a
special thank you to all of the volunteers
from the Nazarene Church who assisted us.
We wouldn’t have been able to complete it
in one day without all of their help.
The Grant County Greenback Program is
progressing well and with the holiday season
upon us, this is a good way to support our
local economy. Greenbacks make good
bonuses or gifts for your employees, friends
and relatives, and can be spent like normal
dollars at participating Chamber businesses.
Greenbacks can be purchased at the
Chamber office.
