October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a good time to discuss your risk
of the disease with your doctor. Set up an appointment to explore your
family’s medical history and see if you are at risk. If so, consider having
annual screenings. While the debate on mammography is ongoing, the fact
remains: mammograms save lives. Discuss the pros and cons with your doctor
and consider scheduling a mammogram. Early detection is key to survival.
