HOSPITAL is MOVING!
Francis and Bonnie Kocis of Canyon City took
the Eagle on vacation to Yellowstone Park, where
they volunteered over 100 hours at the Museum
of the National Park Ranger from Aug. 1-15. The
museum is housed in the historic Norris Soldier
Station, located at the entrance to the Norris
Campground. The building was one of the original
soldier stations built in 1908 by the U.S. Army
as an outlying station for soldiers – ‘snowshoe
cavalry’ – on patrol during severe winter
weather.
