Bobbee has
one goal:
Bag a bull
elk that’s
bigger than
Brandon’s.
“When he sent me the photo by phone, I
said ‘No way!’” Bobbee recalled. “I could-
n’t believe it. Later, he called and he was so
excited about it.”
This 2015 hunting season Bobbee has one
goal: Bag a bull elk bigger than Brandon’s.
Both of them also were lucky to draw
buck tags going into the season. Typically,
the chance of getting the tag is once every
three years. For a bull, it’s once every four
years. Needless to say, with bragging rights
up for grabs, Brandon and Bobbee are ex-
cited and looking forward to the season
ahead.
The couple lives in Canyon City with
their three children: Gracee, 6; Paislee, 3; and
Levi, 6 months. Both Brandon and Bobbee
were born into families where hunting is a
way of life going back generations. Hunting
is a tradition the couple look to instill in their
children, who will join them on hunting trips
more often as they grow older, and one day
possibly join into the family competition.
