Many entrants drove their vehicles over 70 miles to the show, and one driver of a ’20s vehicle noted they passed cars on the highway during their trip. Best of Show went to Keith Jensen, of Baker City, for his ’71 Plymouth Duster, and the People’s Choice Award was given to Trever Hamsher of Prairie City for his ’70 Dodge Charger. Visitors browsed the beauties, lingering near their favorites. Kate Willsen, of Prairie City, was “oohing” and “aahing” over a ’65 Ford Mustang Fastback belonging to John Day resi- dent Karen Chadwick. “I remember someone letting me drive one in ’65 in Broad Channel, N.Y.,” Willsen said, noting that she moved to Prairie City from New York in April. “My sister’s boyfriend had one – it really brings back memories for me.” Kruzers President Lance Barker, of Bear Valley, said he was happy with the quality of cars at the show. There were 48 entrants, some belonging to clubs from Baker, La Grande and Idaho, while other entrants were independent. Driving the farthest to the show was Scott Adams, of Herm- iston, who brought his ’68 Ford Mustang.
