A competition showcasing
the county’s best talent!
1. If an individual resides in a county that
does not have a county fair or a talent con-
test, they may enter only one county talent
contest of his/her choice OR, reinstated this
year, if they have not entered into any
Oregon county competition since they may
enter directly into the Preliminaries held at
the State Fair.
2. Duos and/or groups must enter the state
contest in the same division they entered at
the county level.
3. Participants can only enter ONE county
talent contest in ONE division.
4. Must be amateurs (never previously paid
for a performance).
5. Previous first-place winners of the
Statewide Talent Contest may not compete in
the Statewide Talent Contest for two years
after their win.
6. Must be entered in appropriate Division
based on age of contestants at time of state
fair competition date. If the ages of duo or
group members are in different divisions,
they will compete in the oldest member’s age
group division at time of county fair talent
show or preliminaries.

c. Adult (ages 18 and over)
7. Recorded track may not include lead
vocals.
8. May not include more than three single in-
struments and/or full drum sets. Lip sync
performance is not allowed.
9. An individual will only be allowed to enter
one talent show in one category; for exam-
ple, an individual may enter the individual
category, but cannot enter as a member of a
group.
10. Selections must be appropriate for family
audiences. Absolutely no profanity or sexu-

11. Selections do not have to be the same as
performed in the county or OSF
Preliminaries.
12. Performances must not exceed five min-
utes.
13. First-place winners in each division are
eligible to represent Grant County at the
Oregon Fairs Talent Search Finals which are
scheduled for August 30, 2015 on center
stage at the Oregon State Fairgrounds.
Children's Division (ages 5 -9) at 10 a.m.,
Youth Division (ages 10 - 17) at 1 p.m. and
Adult Division (18+) at 4 p.m.
14. Winners must decide the night of the
competition if they will be attending the state
fair competition. If for any reason, the first-
place winner in any division is not able or
willing to attend the state competition; the
second-place winner is eligible to compete in
their place.
15. Participants and/or their family members
will not be allowed to assist with the judging
or tabulation..
16. Participants must behave in a profession-
al and civil manner at all times while at the
competition. Backbiting, rude remarks or un-
sportsmanlike conduct toward the master of
ceremonies, judges, audience members,
sound engineers, talent show coordinator,
fellow competitors, or any other talent show
official will not be tolerated.
17. Any violation of these rules will result in
the immediate disqualification of the partici-
pant with any titles awarded being revoked.
18. Any participant wishing to contest judg-
ing decisions must do so through the Grant
County Fair Board.
