“I was really pleased with
the show, and we hope to bring
them back,” said fair board
member Heather Rookstool.
“I really want to thank our
sponsors for their support of
this event and the Blue Moun-
tain Hospital Ambulance Crew
and the Sheriff’s Department
for their volunteers,” said fair-
grounds manager Mary Weaver.
Rookstool said that although
the feedback has been positive,
the number of people attending
was down this year – from 1,100
last year to 850 this year – pos-

events, including the Sisters Ro-
deo and the Oregon High School
Rodeo Finals in Prineville.
The Challenge tour is also
scheduled for Burns this weekend.
Rookstool said the board
welcomes suggestions.
“If the community wants us
to keep bringing this, we’ve got
to show up,” she said.
