Elliott hosts online show
about ‘all things rodeo’
GU graduate
still making
rodeo waves
By Angel Carpenter
Blue Mountain Eagle
NORTH PLATTE, Neb.
– Locals know Dustin El-
liott, formerly of John Day,
for his success in the rodeo
world – and he’s still leaving
his stamp on the sport.
The 1999 Grant Union
High School graduate went
on to become a 2004 PRCA
World Champion bull rider.
He now coaches rodeo for
Mid-Plains Community Col-
lege in North Platte, Neb.,
and recently started “The
Dustin Elliott Show” online
at www.bullridercoach.com.
“My show is hosted by
the website and is free to
listeners,” Elliott said. “It’s
simply my thoughts and
opinion on the latest happen-
ings in rodeo and bull riding,
from junior high to profes-
sional ranks.”
The website includes free
videos on everything from
boots and spurs to how to tie
a bull rope.
The online store offers
books and videos for pur-
chase.
Visitors to the site can
sign up for The Dustin El-
liott Show.
He said the show is about
“all things rodeo,” and his
first episode discusses hel-
mets in bull riding, and re-
cent rules and rule changes.
“I’m going to try to
do them weekly,” he
said.
Elliott is also online at
facebook/Dustin Elliott and
Twitter @DustinElliott81.
