Red Iler of Mt. Vernon recently took the Eagle on
vacation to Kodiak Island, Alaska, where he went on
a king salmon and halibut excursion. Helping Iler hold
the 50-pound king salmon is his friend Carl Jack, a
Yupik native, who is the current leader in the Kodiak
King Derby. They fished out of the village of Old Harbor,
with the help of Kodiak Combos guide service.
