The cost is $3 per shoot. Monument School students in grades 5-8 will serve concessions, with proceeds going toward their annual field trip. This is also the third in a series of four shoots to win a Savage 17 HMR bolt action rifle. Participants must be at three of the shoots to qualify. The best score out of 100 shots wins. The cost for that competition is $25 for 25 shots. The last shoot in the series will be on April 11. The rock pit is located at the 9-mile marker on Highway 402 between Kimberly and Monument. Two popular events are coming up this weekend at the Grant County Fairgrounds: the Almost Spring Bazaar and the Strawberry Mountain Gun and Knife Show. The bazaar will be from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday in Keer- ins Hall. Vendors will sell items including crafts, home decor, collectibles, jewelry, art and other goods. Admission is free. The gun and knife show runs two days in Trowbridge Pavilion. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Sunday. People can buy, sell or trade such items as guns, knives, archery supplies, and camping and hunting equipment. Those at- tending will be entered into a drawing for gun-related mer- chandise. Admission for adults is $5 per day or $8 for both; for youth 7-18, it’s $2 per day, and for children 6 and under, admission is one can of food.
