People can buy, sell or trade such goods as guns, knives,
camping and hunting equipment, and archery supplies. Ad-
mission for adults is $4 per day or $7 for both days; for youth
7-18, it’s $2 per day, and for children 6 and under, admission
is one can of food. Attendees will be entered in a drawing for
gun-related merchandise. Vendor space is $35 for an 8-foot

Community Art Show,
coming up this Friday and
Saturday, March 6-7.
This is the second year
the event will be held at
Grant County Regional
Airport in John Day.
The display will include
paintings, drawings, pho-
tography, sculptures, leath-
erwork and pottery, all from
Grant County artisans.
Visitors will be able to
meet the artists at Friday
night’s opening from 5-8
p.m., which will include a
wine, beer and cheese tast-
ing party. Several local au-
thors also will be on hand
to talk about their works
and sign copies of their
books.
Hours on Saturday will
be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The day’s
schedule includes a ceram-
ics demonstration by Lau-
rie Hueckman at 1 p.m., a
drawing class by JJ Collier
at 2 p.m., and a reading by
local author Kathy Moss at
3 p.m.
Lunch will be available
