Following is a letter received from Canyon City bv Earl Bwoek in answer to a letter asking for a friendly contest between the two places; My Dear sir: Your letter in re gard to an athletic meet whs hand ed to me by Irving Hazeltine. It afforded us much pleasure to see that the subject is receiving such general recognition, and we would be pleased to arrange a meet ho far as we are concerned. If you are in a position to bring over an all-school team, composed of young gentlemen ami ladies who attend ed school anywhere in Harney I County for at least three months since the first of last July, we will try to get up an i.il-Grant County aggregation sometime in .May. In case we arrange for games we would probably be able to meet you in baseball, basket-ball, girls, and field and track events. If you intended the meet should be be tween the young ladies and gentle men of the town regardless of their school relations, it is possible that we may arrange for that. We will l>e pleased to hear from you again, and assure you that wo will do all we can to arrange a meeting between the teams. Very truly yours, C. J. .M c I ntosh . From a talk with some of the boys we learn that though definite arrangements are not yet complete, a team will be selected and put in practice for the occasion.
