Becker.
A Bill to regulate and restrict
the «rating on our opwn ranges with
out the necessity of leasing the
same to corporations.
Sec 1
That the gover .went
take charge of »he open ranges, di­
vide them off in districts, of suita­
ble sit« , appoint a Range Warden
whose duly it shall be to watch
over ths district in his care »nd
see that there is .io mure stoct kept
upon it thau the district will sup-
l«jrt without deteriorating so as to
till out the native grasses; and in
every instance give the resident
owners of live-stock the preference
>vsr non-residents, migratory own­
ers of live stock ; for a district of
limited area can only p-rmanentlv
support a certain numl«*r of live
stock, and it ia only justice and
common sense to give resident own
era and all future settler« within
•ach district under our Homestead

three or more of resident owners of
