-Farmer Philips of Fern Ridge,
Oregon, has been puzzled for a long
time to find how his cows wore
robbed of their milk while at pas-
ture. Last week he hid in a tree
and watched his herd of sleek cows
after they were driven to the field.
In a few minutes he saw a tine ra­
zor-back pig go to one of the cows,
and start his suction-pump. As
soon as this cow was dry he tackled
another, and would have gone the
rounds, but Farmer Philips inter­
fered. That pig will never suck
another cow.
