T he E ast O regon H erald has 1 just printed several hundred copies : of a Form for Affidavit and Peti tion in case of Contest as to so- called ‘‘¡Swamp Lands,” for use in the Harney Land District, and which has received the approval of ’ best legal talent. Our object was to obtain a Form which would combine both the form of a required affidavit that has long been in use (as issued from the General Land Office at Washington), and also a proper Petition of the applicant, together ■ with corroborative affidavits, ac cording to requirements of law in such cases. It is confidently believed that this new and improved form which we have now printed will meet with general approval. We will correctly fill out these blanks at $1.50 each, or eell them at 15c a copy, or two for 25c. Chas. E.
