T
BUBXH ADVERTISES! ISN'T.
THE
HERALD.
In reply toil gentlemen writing
for information about Burns and
Harney valley, from Davenport,
Nebraska, as to the advantages of
fered colonists, we will say:
1st. Burns is a town of less than
500 inhabitants, and our advertis
ing columns will show the live, en
terprising class of business men
that keep it ahead.
2d. Town lots on business streets
ot-.lv $100, $50, and off the main
streets, $25—sold at these low rates
in order not to retard the growth of
the town.
3d. The Oregon Pacific is push
ing right along in this direction,
and is expected in by the last of ’88
or early in '89.
-4th. The crops in Harney valley
require irrigation, and this is readi
ly done as the valley is well-watered.
$2.80 a Year.
We have at Harney City one of
the finest school houses in Grant
county. Aral the school is crowded.
