In reply toil gentlemen writing for information about Burns and Harney valley, from Davenport, Nebraska, as to the advantages of fered colonists, we will say: 1st. Burns is a town of less than 500 inhabitants, and our advertis ing columns will show the live, en terprising class of business men that keep it ahead. 2d. Town lots on business streets ot-.lv $100, $50, and off the main streets, $25—sold at these low rates in order not to retard the growth of the town. 3d. The Oregon Pacific is push ing right along in this direction, and is expected in by the last of ’88 or early in '89. -4th. The crops in Harney valley require irrigation, and this is readi ly done as the valley is well-watered. $2.80 a Year. We have at Harney City one of the finest school houses in Grant county.
