We must be very careful in our selection of candidates at the coming primary. May 16th. The candidates we select at the primary on May 16th must be honorable people who uro capable of carrying out the duties of the office which they seek. We must elect as our Republican standard bearer, people who will uphold the high dignity of the Re publican party and who will give the people a clean, hon est, business administration. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmfmmmmammmmmmmmgmsm Solely with the idea of Better Administration in view A CHANGE MUST BE MADE IN THE SHERIFFS OFFICE Here's the low down on the situation at the last pri . .ary election in Harney county there was cast by the vot i s on the candidate for sheriff 832 votua. ustin Goodman received ONLY 355 vote out of 872 and it was nominated, i he same old story will happen again at this coming pri- ,ary IF WE DO NOT TAKE HEED Goodman has ' following of some 250 votoro, if he can only slide in enough candidate for sheriff so as to "split" up the bal ance of the votea cast he will then slide in by a plurality vote. 1Lai!i w THE REMEDY TAKE HEED Lets get together good Republicans und counteract such vox attempt LETS ALL VOTE FOR CLARENCE LUCKEY the strongest con tunder in the race. In the last primary, Clarence Luckcy carried South Burns, Danio and many other precincts, lost North Burm by only 7 vota. W i drfeatrd for the nomination by only H2 vote?. Made such a strong race urd lost by only a few voles with 5 candidates in the field. We have succeeded tliis time in narrowing the candidates to three it was our hope to only have Luckcy, the strongest man against Goodman. msxayzMSEssismnmwrn Let's all good Republican get behmd and vote for Clarence Luckey do not split it by voting for any other outside man Citizen Repulican Club of Harney County u ,i V"3BHKB znzurmi&zs. fjfogfftpfiifitfr irafffigfflti msssHaasm 4 mwtF w'rFtKtmrwrKM (W7anHrnuMjrfeaia mmus. ssmssm Kif It . l'OHD'K KtiCOUl) i Oregon Voter) Kuril, of Duyvllle, wui hold tfinorul high rospuct liy hl . that. villO ho liitruduod i.
