Kelloy was here from Callow i in- other day making proof on his land. James McKee and wife were in town this week on business. They are residents of the Diamond section. Mrs. M. A. Warren is back from outside points to remain for a time at her home in the Lawen neighbor hood. C. A. Hawley, of Mansfield, Wash., is here again visiting with P. S. Welttenhiller. Mr Hawley has visited this section before. J. R. Jenkins and M. were in town this week. 8. Davie A. W. Oowan arrived home Tues day from Portland where he had been on business. C, W. Hill and visited with her sister, Mrs. Cland Brown, and also with friends. She had expected to go back immediately but was detained until yesterday. Mrs. Sam Dicks of Lakeview, was a caller at this office the other day in company with a friend. Mr. Dicks is stock inspector of Lake county and they were here in response to a sum mons as witnesses before the circuit court. M. F. Itenfro is back from Aber (iean, Washington. He is accompani ed by Mrs. Renfro and two youngest children, having left the older one in school. Mr. Renfro is conducting a steam laundry up there for the pres ent and will continue at that business until spring when he expects to re turn to his farm In this county. I Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Johnson were over from their Silver Creek home during the week. They were here on business and to visit their son-in-law, Lester Williams, who la recover ing from an operation for appendi citis. Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Krambein were np from the White Horse ranch last Monday. Mrs. Krumbein took ad vantage of the opportunity while in town to call on a few of her friends. She was formerly Miss Kmma John son. Charley Cronln is up from the Denlo country paying a visit to his many friends and looking after some business affairs. Mr Cronln has charge of a big string of ranches lur the P. L. 8. Co., in the lower part of this county and northern Nevada He formerly resided In this vicinity, being In the employ of Vm.
