Animal Husbandry Department of the O. A. C. Heretofore most bulletin published have dealt with someone special feeding prob- lem. These bulletins bowevi r, area summary of the experiment- al knowledge alone the lines at breeding, feeding and care of horses, cattle, hogs and sheep. They supply the data to often asked for by the stockmen of the state. There isa bulletin on each class of stock, namely: horses, beef cattle, hogs, and sheep. Some of the main points covered in each bulletin are: most eeonomi- cal methods of feeding: breeding to get best results; equipment necessary; artificial impregns tion; bogus pedigrees; raising pure bred stock and their use. These bulletins are free and peo- pie interested in any one of them or all should write to the Oregon Agricultural College, Corvallis, Oregon, for them. Distribution of Cultures For Inoculating Seeds In distributing cultures of in- oculating leguminous seeds the, land. It can comfortably care department has determined to for 60 guests. All requests for culture must be transmitted upon these application cards. Prefer ence will be jriven to advance requests, and farmers are urged to apply to the department for the culture at the earliest possi- ble date and at least two weeks before the probable date of sow-1 ing the seed. Planters are also requested to plant a small quantity of uninocu lated seed on a portion of the name field with the inoculated seed. This, it is said, will mate rially aid the department in mak ing observations and comparisons which will prove valuable to planters in the future. Detri ment News letter. Presbyterian Church. The little Lempke boy who was operated on for appendicitis several weeks ago at the hospital, is reported improving, ile has been having a hard time but is now on the mend. Mrs. P. C. Petersen has been seriously ill with pneumonia dur ing the past few days but is re ported improving this morning by her physician which is cer tainly welcome news to her many friends. The Times-Herald learns that Otto Hero, whose death was an nounced last issue, was a promi nent contractor and bulkier of Chicago during his prime, lie had resided in this county five yeats, making his home with his daughter, Mrs. Jokisch. The funeral service was conducted by Dr. Babbidge last Sunday. J"1'1 Baptist Church Doings. Mr. Arthur Leining is to take charge of the choir. Until re cently Mr. Leining was organist of the Ciermnn Fvangelical church in Portland. Mr. Ieining has also had considerable experience in choir work. Choir practice Friday nights.
