Purington is reconstruct ing his telephone line from this city to the mill by way of the Experiment Station and Harney. He is putting the line in first class condition, in fact, building most of it new with good sub stantial posts and extra heavy wire. This is a line that is of considerable importance to the general public as well as to Mr. Purington and the patrons are pleased to find him willing to put in a first class service. Geo. Love, foreman at the Agency ranch of the P. L. S. Co., came over Thursday accom panied by his mother-in-law, Mrs. Dowell. for a few days visit with Burns friends. George had not been over for a year or more. He reports his spring farm work about completed. The Agency ranch is one of the finest farm places in all Eastern Oregon and Mr. Love has a great area in cultivation, supplying many of the other ranches of the Company with grain and vegetables.
