n McKINLEVS PRISON DAYS OVCfc. Th Journal bays: Horace- G. McKinley, the man"who after n tenstitien&l attempt to escape, pleaded guilty to the charge of conspiracy td defraud the gov ernment by acquiring title to public lands, two years nffo to day, finished hia term of sentence in tho county jail today and waB turned over to tho fcdoral au thorities. McKinley, who was implicated in tho land fraud deals as a part, ner of S. A. D. Putcr, in tho fa mous 11-7 case, was sentenced to servo two years and pay a lino of $7500. At 11 o'clock this morn ing tho confessed "looter of pub lic domains" went before tho United States court and took tho pauper's oath, and was rclensed on his own recognizances not withstanding tho fact that there aro yet several indictments pend ing against him in tho federal court. Henceforth Horaco G. McKin ley will report at intervals agreed on between himself and the United States officials to tho dis trict attonoy's office. In an in terview this morning. McKinley refused to divulge any of his plans for the future other than that ho intends to sail immedi ately for Borneo, where ho said ?e was going to engage in tho teakwood business. Thi3 announcement, however, was not corroborated in his in terview with United States Dis trict Attorney McCourt tin's morning. Mckinley told McCourt that he intends going to Wiscon sin to vistt his mother.
