Texas on Tuesday, November 15 to Friday November 18, official notices of the meeting have been sent out by the executive committee Owing to the great activity in government irrlgatioa, this meeting of the association is expected to be the most important in the history of tbe organization-. The association in the past has had much to do with tbe shaping of tbe policy of the national irriga tion law was framed and revised by oommilleea froai this organization. A new railroad, costing about $2,- 000,000 to construct, and tapping the rich agricultural districts of Gilliam nod Wheeler Counties, bringing the interior of those count ies in touch with an <>i*ening to Portland and the Pacific, will in a short time be built, running from Arlington about 90 inilea in a gen eral easterly and westerly direction.
